The debut of the match with "Zaporizhzhia" for our team was fairly failed. At that time, the rivals of the "red and whites" organized a breakthrough 0:8. All attempts conducted by Sean Evans, Chris Dowe, Oleksander Lypovyy and DJ Kennedy to resolve the situation did not help much. Yasin Joseph, the fifth number of Zaporizhzhia, had more arguments (17:25).
In the second quarter, "Prometey" gradually began to reduce the difference in points. Initially, this was helped by a three-point shot by Lypovyy, which reduced the gap to "-5", then a quick spurt was organized by Chris Dowe (22:25). It was he who managed to equalize the score in the fifth minute of the quarter while still getting the "end-one". The advantage of "Prometey", which was gradually growing, was interrupted by Yassin Joseph, who equalized the score at the end of ten minutes.
The third quarter was the key of this match. "Prometey" makes its decisive leap. In this ten minutes Ronen Ginzburg's team gained 29 (!) points against 6 points of Zaporizhzhia. Then the game was played according to the "red and white" scenario until the final buzzer. The opponent did not try to catch up with "Prometey", but our team was unstoppable.
The most productive player in the "Prometey" was the American guard Chris Dowe, who scored 24 points and made 14 rebounds (PE 32).
Further our team switches to the games of the 1/6 finals of the Cup of Ukraine. The day after tomorrow, on November 6, "Prometey" is going to Western Ukraine, where they are going to play a match with the club from the Premier League - BC "Staryy Lutsk-University".
