In the match for the third place of the All-Ukrainian youth basketball league, “Prometey” youth born in 2010 played against the team of OCCYSS from Chernihiv. Young “Prometey” players started the match mighty. They were in lead during first 18 minutes, but later, the flow of the match turned in the opposite direction.
Already for the long break, our rival went in a status of the leader. After 15-minute break, they started increasing their advantage, which reached 12 points in the last ten-minute segment. Our team, like the day before, demonstrated excellent fighting qualities. They surpassed the team from Chernihiv in the fight under backboards (75 rebounds against 49), however, this indicator did not help save the game – 56:49 in favour of our rival.
“Prometey” was not able to get bronze medals; however, entering top four teams of the country of their age should be considered a significant success.
