The programme of the BKT EuroCup 8th round in group A was capped with the matches “Hapoel Tel Aviv” – “Joventut”” and “London Lions” – “Cedevita Olimpija”.
The Israeli club hosted its rival in Belgrade and, in the tense confrontation, was stronger in the end of the game, winning with a score of 103:99. This match’s result allowed “Prometey”, following the results of the round, to move up in the tournament standings by two steps at once to the sixth position, which will allow to advance to the playoffs. The Ukrainian club has as many wins as “Vilnius Wolves” (the Lithuanians played one match less and in terms of head-to-head games are in higher position than the “titans”) and is one win ahead of “Joventut” and “Reyer Venice”.
In the final game of the 8th round, “London Lions” defeated “Cedevita Olimpija” with a score of 101:95. The club from Great Britain with 6-2 balance, along with Turkish “Besiktas”, has just one win less than “Paris Basketball”. “Hapoel Tel Aviv” is in 4th place and has 5 wins after 7 matches.
“Hamburg Towers” (1-7) and “Cedevita Olimpija” (0-8) are at the bottom of the tournament standings.
“Prometey” will play its next match, the last one in the first tour of the regular season, on November 29 in Spanish Badalona against the local “Joventut”.
