Win basketball balls in the upcoming matches!

December 21 basketball turns 130 years. We celebrate it with the whole world, and in most of the matches of the Ukrainian championship in the near future you will be able to win balls from the FBU and Wilson.

Basketball club "Prometey" joined the action. On December 19, during the break of the match of the men's team "Prometey" with BC "Ternopil" will be selected 7 lucky people who will have the opportunity to make throws from the penalty line. The one who throws the most accurate will take a valuable gift! Let us  recall that the match on Sunday will start at 16.00. We would like to remind that on December 21, 1891, James Naismith, a professor at Springfield Youth Christian Association College, tied two baskets to the railings of the gym's balcony and divided eighteen students into two teams. He suggested them a game where they should have thrown as many balls as possible into the basket of opponents.

Basketball has been on the program of the Olympic Games since 1936 (James Naismith was there as a guest). The Men's Regular World Basketball Championships have been held since 1950, the Women's Basketball Championships since 1953, and the European Championships since 1935.
The main basketball institution in Ukraine is the Basketball Federation, that was founded on February 28, 1992 and officially accepted as a member of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) on July 10, 1992.
