The Board of the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League Pafbet has decided to admit the Ukrainian basketball club Prometey to the Pafbet LAT-EST championship in the 2022/2023 season. This news was published on the official website of the Latvian-Estonian League.

BC Prometey is expected to be based in Riga. Israeli specialist Ronen Ginzburg, who is already known to both Ukrainian and Latvian fans for his work with the Czech national team, will remain the team's head coach.
