Prometey closed an eventful, in terms of control matches, September game programme with a match against geographical neighbours, BC Kryvbas from Kryvy Rih. Before today’s confrontation, “titans” had already played 7 sparrings, 6 of which were against the Superleague representatives. Today’s rival of Oleksandr Pashchenko’s team will also spend the 2023/2024 season as part of the elite national division.
Our team was the winner in all previous matches. Today, it also celebrated success with a resulting score of 70:50. According to the previous games’ tradition, Prometey debuted quite aggressively – 7:2 run within the first two minutes. Later, however, our team performance sagged sharply: the percentage of accurate field throws was slightly higher 30%, and only 2 out of 14 throws were accurate from downtown. The opponent’s figures were even worse, so, there was no surprise that Prometey’s advantage reached a double-digit yet at the end of the second quarter. In the second 20-minute segment, “titans” stepped up and significantly improved their percentage from the game and the percentage of three-pointers in particular.
Oleksandr Pashchenko’s team confidently controlled this low-scoring game not allowing the club from Kryvyi Rih to take a lead in score even once. As a result – another confident win in the build-up for the start.
