Prometey player Ariel Atkins has taken part in two qualification matches of the US national team for the Women's World Basketball Championship, which will take place in Sydney, Australia this autumn. Initially, the Americans beat Belgium with a score of 84:75. Ariel scored 7 points in 27 minutes on the court (2 hits out of 4 attempts from the arc and 1 from the penalty line).

In the second match, the US team confidently defeated Puerto Rico - 93:55. Ariel with 14 points (5 two-pointers, 1 three-pointer and 1 free-throw) became the most productive player in her team, spending only 17 minutes on the court.

These victories allowed the US team to qualify for the World Cup.
