Tomorrow, on February 16, the 18th game week of the regular season of the Windroseluper League starts, which will feature 6 matches. On this day, BC "Ternopil" and BC "Zaporizhzhia" will play at the same time on the site of Ternopil, as well as - "Kharkiv Sokolky" and our "Prometey" in Kharkiv.
The current champion of the country will appear in this match with an unusual lineup. It will be recalled, that the club's main team has left for the Czech Republic, where its training camp will take place over the next two weeks. Therefore, in the match with the Sokoly, the basis of Prometey will consist of the youth from Prometey-2-DDTU, and the team will be led by the head coach of our reserve Dmytro Markov.

We are preparing for the game with the "Sokoly" in the same lineup, which a few days ago faced "Khimik-2" in Yuzhne in the second stage of the High League championship. These fights turned out to be different for us. In the first, the guys by and large were not ready for the fact that at this stage they are going to face games of a completely different level than before. To their credit, they drew conclusions themselves from the extremely unsuccessful first match and in the second managed to show the basketball they are capable of".
Prometey's rival has also had enough news in recent days. They were announced by the president of "Kharkiv Sokoky" Sergey Chebyshev.
"Already in the match with" Ternopil "the players were nervous. It was then that President Biden issued a statement calling for the immediate evacuation of American citizens from Ukraine. After that, we talked a lot with agents, coaches and representatives of other teams to understand the situation across the country.
After our return from Ternopil we met with our American legionnaires. We tried to calm them down, to guarantee a quick response to the deteriorating situation, but they decided to leave the team and return home.

Dmytro Markov commented on the news about the departure of American legionnaires from Kharkiv in the context of the upcoming match between Sokoy and Prometey as following:
"Of course, the presence of Americans in the opponent’s lineup made his game more athletic. However, even in their absence, the Sokoly will remain the same "coaching" team, with a well-managed game both in defense and attack. In general, our guys need to think first of all about how to prove themselves in Kharkiv, and not about who will oppose them on the field. "
Indeed, Volodymyr Shevchenko, Dmytro Glebov, Pavlo Burenko, Illia Nemtsu, Maksym Nikitin, Oleksandr Tarasenko - all these domestic performers, assisted by one of the best bigmen in the Superleague, Oleksandr Zechevich - have long proven themselves in the country's basketball courts.
