Five of the twelve teams in the Superleague last week reached the equator of the regular season. This week and at the beginning of the next one, after the postponed matches, half of the tournament distance will be covered by almost all participants of the championship, including the national champion "Prometey". Tomorrow our team will play the first of two previously postponed matches. The opponent is Kharkiv Sokoly, a team that, like Prometey, can be safely attributed to those who are showing significant progress this season compared to previous ones.

Currently, Kharkiv is not just a clear candidate for the playoffs in the regular season - the team is in the top 3, winning exactly two-thirds of the 21 matches that they have played. The Sokoly are especially strong at home: they have won 9 matches in 11 matches, and one of the two teams that left Lokomotiv Kharkiv as the winner was our Prometey. On the first day of October, our team confidently beat the opponent - 94:68, but at that time the renewed team of "Sokoly" was only at the stage of their incipience.

Almost three months after that match, it is quite possible to say that the players of Sokoly were inspired by the ideas of their coach Valery Plekhanov. After a break related to the official games of the national team of Ukraine, the "Sokoly" played very strongly, winning 5 games in 6 matches. As for the unsuccessful game of the representative of Slobozhanshchyna in Yuzhny, after it the players of the team had a lot of claims to the refereeing of the match.

At the same time, the successful performances of the "Sokoly" take place against the background of the fact that the team lost heavy forward Maxwell Magoni due to his injury. Valery Plekhanov recently emphasised that in the absence of Magoni, the coaching staff had to rebuild the team's game, but so far this restructuring does not affect their results. In the first round match against "Odessa" he scored 18 rebounds at once - the best result among all Superleague players; Dejuan Graf - the fifth assistant of the championship; forward Volodymyr Shevchenko also has a significant role in the Sokols' success.

Therefore, Prometey will face a very difficult opponent tomorrow. However, Ronen Ginzburg's team has gained an incredible pace in all tournaments, and who will stop them in the Superleague is still a mystery. It is possible that this team will be the Kharkiv Falcons, but the Red and Whites have their own opinion on this point.
