On January 9 and 10, our team "Prometey-2-DDTU" resumes their performances in the High League championship. We would like to recall that Dmytro Markov's wards went to the break on the second place in the championship, winning 11 of 14 matches. The Red and Whites could be the first now, but in November they failed to "take" the second away match with their main competitor BC Mariupol.

Instead, now "Prometey-2-DDTU" has a gap of 4 victories before the third and fourth teams of the group - "Team of Sumy region-SumDU" and "Dnipro-2-DVUFK-SDYSSOR N5". The victory, as expected, was obtained by the guests - 102:62. At the same time, the coach of BC " TSR-SumDU " Yaroslav Kovalev did not criticize his wards after the match. He noted that the players were tasked not to surrender to the grandee of domestic basketball before the confrontation and try to "catch" for at least a quarter. Sumy team coped with this local task in the starting ten minutes, which they won 26:23. The newcomer of the team, xperienced center Yevhen Brechko (he will turn 30 in 10 days) has played in this match. Eugene started the season in "Mariupol", and in a match with "Dnipro" he made 6 rebounds. This can be considered as a pretty good indicator, given that the rival's bigmen opposed him (Viacheslav Kravtsov, Viacheslav Bobrov, Stanislav Timofeenko).
