BC “London Lions” (Great Britain) – BC “Prometey” – 89:88 (28:25, 23:17, 14:22, 24:24).
December 20. BKT EuroCup. Round 12. London (Great Britain). “Copper Box” Arena.

The 12th round of the BKT EuroCup capped with the matches “London Lions” – “Prometey” and “Paris Basketball” – “Hamburg”. Id in the capital of France there was no reason to doubt the hosts’ victory, in London, a very competitive confrontation was expected with unpredictable result. In the first tour, “Prometey” lost to its rival in Riga, however, before the visit to London, it had found the necessary positive impulse thus the local “lions” should hardly have been given the role of favourites in this confrontation.

The “titans” started the match more confident than their opponents leading 12:4 in the fourth minute. At that, all 12 team points were scored by Caleb Agada (2 of 2 successful long-range shots)! However, back in the first five-minute segment, the hosts offered a decent respond, reducing their lag to minimum. Moreover, after Matt Morgan's three-point shot, they took the lead - 17:15. An exciting and productive starting quarter also finished with the advantage of the "lions" by one possession - 28:25.

In the debut of the second quarter, teams’ productiveness dropped considerably: within five minutes, they together scored just 13 points. At the end of this segment, the hosts managed a spurt and broke away from the “titans” by three possessions – 51:42.

The second half started after a long pause caused by the technical issues. In the middle of the third quarter, Tai Odiase got the fourth foul and it could have been a problem for our team, but it did not affect the team's actions a lot. In the third ten-minute segment, the "titans" mostly was behind by 10 points, but before the last break, thanks generally to Ronald March performance (19 points within 30 minutes), this deficit was reduced to just one point - 64:65.

Our team has finally found its rhythm. In the debut of the final quarter, it took the lead after a long pause and did not lose it for a very long time. However, several seconds to go, with a three-point shot, Sam Dekker returned the "lions" advantage (89:88), which turned out to be a final one.
