Bronislaw Wawrzynchuk: "Locker room atmosphere is very positive"

Броніслав Вавжинчик

The sports director of BC Prometey Bronislaw Wawrzynchuk has shared his opinion on how ready the team is to start in the EuroCup, whether there is rapport in our renewed team (whether our renewed team has found a common ground) and how much the team needs the fans’ support.

- Bronislaw, how ready is the team to start in the EuroCup?

- With each day, we are getting better and better and the team is ready to compete. However, due to some medical problems, which we were facing during pre-season preparation, we are still a little bit behind the schedule when it comes to being capable of presenting our full potential.

- Is there mutual understanding, team’s chemistry between the players?

- We are getting there and locker room atmosphere is very positive. However, we had just few practices with more or less full roster, so it will take time for our players to get better feel for each other on the court. Unfortunately, this kind of mutual understanding can be created only by repetition done together in games and practices.

- How important is the fans’ support for the team at the first game of the season, crowded stands?

- The first official game is always highly anticipated by both fans and players. After a long break, everybody strives for emotions. It is a great chance to see those who achieved great success last year returning as well as to get familiar with new members of Prometey, which will give our supporters a lot of joy next months.

Everybody wants to play in front of big crowd, as it simply helps players to perform up to their best abilities. Moreover, it makes our team and organization to feel more like “at home”, which is important from obvious reasons. We finished the season with really promising attendance and want to pick up where we left off and keep growing the fan base moving forward in the 2023/2024 season.
