Tomorrow, on November 25, Arena Riga will host a central match of the Latvian-pEstonian league first tour, where “Prometey” will play against 13-time Estonian champion and the LEBL winner of the 2020/2021 season “Kalev/Cramo” from Tallinn.

This year, “Kalev/Cramo” is the only undefeated team in the league. It gained 8 wins, “Prometey” has one win less having also played 8 matches. At that, the next rival of “Prometey” did not completely dominate in all matches: In two clashes, its winning difference was just one possession, in another one – 4 points.

Before the game against “Prometey”, “Kalev/Cramo” had finished its participation at the FIBA EuroCup group stage. Together with Spanish “Zaragoza” and Italian “Brindisi”, tomorrow’s opponent of the Ukrainian team sat in second place with 2-2 balance, which did not allow to proceed their fighting in the tournament.

However, with no doubts, “Prometey” is awaiting a confrontation with the most serious so far opponent in the LEBL. In its roster, the team, in addition to the strong local players, has three high-quality American legionnaires and a Spanish one. Ukrainian guard Oleksandr Kovliar had a mighty start of the season in “Kalev/Cramo” but was promoted signing a contract with Spanish “Obradoiro”.

The upcoming match is of big importance for “Prometey” not only in the LEBL tournament context. It will definitely help Ronen Ginzburg’s team to get prepared for the crucial clash on November 29 with Spanish “Joventut” within BKT EuroCup.

You can follow the course of events in the match “Prometey” – “Kalev/Cramo” on November 25 on TV channel “DIVISPORT” and also on YouTube starting at 19:00.
