Prometey will celebrate the New Year holidays not only as the sole leader of the championship, but also as a quarterfinalist of the cup tournament. This became known after today's first club derby with "Prometey-2-DDTU". At the same time, we can’t help but agree with the mentor of our youth Dmytro Markov, who said after the game that the match was good on both sides.
His wards went into the fight without fear of a formidable opponent and during the first three minutes of the starting quarter established their lead three times. This was primarily due to the excellent individual actions of the players of the back line of "Prometey-2-DDTU" Mykhailo Bublyk and Ihor Klimov. However, the champion of the country quickly managed to create the first gap in the match - 21:10 in the 7th minute. This handicap was designed thanks in part to DJ Stephens, whose appearance on the court in the 5th minute was met with a standing ovation!
"Prometey" confidently won the starting ten minutes, but a quarter of N2 was left for the youth. At the same time, the last minute of the quarter started with a very small precedence of "Prometey" (43:34), however it increased by 5 points after a three-point shot and Stephens' branded dunk.
In the middle of the third quarter, the teams had an approximate balance in the percentage of hits of all types of throws, but then the supremacy in the class of "Prometey" began to be seen more clearly. At the same time, the players of the main team, who usually do not get much playing time, can add today’s match into their asset. Oleksander Belikov with 24 points became the most productive player of the match; his namesake Mishula made 5 of 12 shots from the perimeter, and Dmytrp Tikhonov scored 9 points and 6 rebounds.
Finally, everything in this match became clear after the jerk of "Prometey" 17:0 at the beginning of the final quarter.
