The second consecutive home paired tour in the Superleague took place between the two matches of "Prometey" in the group stage of EuroCup Women, and therefore in the first game against "Frankivsk-Prykarpattya" the coaching staff of our team predictably resorted to a significant rotation. Nikolina Babich was not announced for the game today, 11 players at once received playing time, but none of them played more than 15 minutes in the first half of the match.
The fate of the match was already practically decided in its first half. In the starting 4 minutes the team scored 6 points, and then before the break the team of Yuri Protsyuk in terms of performance remained at the same level, while the championship leader was able to add 17 points at once, creating a decent victory. At the same time, the players of "Prometey" in this game segment could not boast of a good percentage of shots: at the beginning of the second quarter, it fluctuated around 30 percent.
The second half of the match turned out to be more even, but this, according to the team's coaching staff, was due, among other things, to numerous experiments on positions. In addition, Joyner Holmes and Ariel Atkins, who had previously scored 39 points, did not go on the court in the final quarter. As for the game load, today only four basketball players of "Prometey" (Yuliia Musiienko, Joyner Holmes, Veronica Liubinets, Viktoriia Balaban) spent more than 20 minutes on the court, but none of them "reached" even 25.
Our team obtained a confident victory in the first match of the tour, and tomorrow at noon the rivals will play again.
