We are pleased to inform that a shooting guard with a big experience of playing in the world best league, NBA, Davon Reed (11.06.1995, 196 cm, 94 kg) has become another newbie of BC “Prometey”.
The American versatile defender with the ability to play on the third and even the fourth position is a graduate of the college "Miami Hurricanes". After the graduation, he was selected with the 32nd pick in the 2017 NBA draft by “Phoenix Suns”. “Prometey” rookie played 21 match for “Phoenix” in the 2017/2018 season, spending on average 11.5 minutes on the court and scoring 3.0 points. He played his best match on March 10, 2018 against “Charlotte Hornets” (122:115 in favour of “Charlotte”): 16 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
Afterwards, there were 3 more NBA clubs in Davon Reed’s career: “Indiana Pacers”, “Denver Nuggets” and “Los Angeles Lakers”. Davon played for “Nuggets” (current NBA champion) and “Lakers” in the previous season (in Los Angeles, from February 9). Thus, within just one season, Davon was first a partner of Nikola Jokic, and then LeBron James - real megastars of the NBA.
In total, our newbie played 122 matches in the “space” league (on average 10.6 minutes. 3.1 points with 38.5% of three-point shots). A month ago, for the first time in history, “Denver Nuggets” became NBA champion, and the team’s players insisted that Davon Reed get a champion’s ring. It was a real recognition of his playing qualities, with the ability to oppose the rivals’ leaders, and human qualities, which is also very important!
During this offseason, Euroleague clubs showed substantial interest in Davon Reed, however, Davon’s lack of playing experience in Europe prevented the signing of a full-fledged contract.
As part of “Prometey”, Davon will have an opportunity not only to get it, but also to help our team solve its high-level tasks for this season.
