DJ Kennedy, who recently underwent a surgery and started recovering, on his Instagram, addressed the fans and teammates:
“So much to say that I don’t know what to start with. These last several weeks, I will never forget.
I would like to inform my fans, that a few weeks ago, I suffered a torn ACL. I have been trying to find words to express how I am upset and frustrated with the fact that I won’t get to compete with my teammates.
I understand that injuries are part of sports, but the timing of this injury seems surreal for me. Our team did what nobody expected us to do, finished the regular season in the first place of the EuroCup and won 30 straight matches in both leagues. I was a part of that. It’s something special that does not happen every day.
We have a talented guys who go out and give their all on the court each game, I enjoy winning with them. I love being a part of this team.
I had a surgery for my injury earlier this week. I would like to thank the incredible doctors for a successful surgery. I feel great and look forward to my coming back 100%.
I am fully concentrated on healing and doing the necessary work to have a speed recovery. I appreciate all my family, friends and fans who have supported me and expressed their love throughout this process.
The team has already won the championship in the Latvian-Estonian league. It’s time to go and win the EuroCup too!
I will be there every step of this way cheering and supporting them in any way that I can. Go, “Prometey”! GO FORWARD “Prometey”! “MAMBA MENTALITY “(We don’t quit, we don’t cower, we don’t run. We endure and conquer).
