American guard of "Prometey" DJ Kennedy joined the symbolic team of the FIBA Champions League in January. It was formed by the players of the teams that played in the play-in for the entering the top-16.

Let us recall that following the results of the play-in Prometey defeated Israeli Hapoel from Jerusalem in three matches. Initially, our team lost in Jerusalem - 70:95. Kennedy did not score – he had only 2 rebounds and assists. Then Ronen Ginzburg's team won in Zaporizhzhia - 82:79. Kennedy scored 20 points, did 9 rebounds and 2 assists in this match. Then, again in Israel, "Prometey" won the decisive match - 85:75. Kennedy scored 17 points, did 9 rebounds and gave 5 assists.

In total, in the series with Hapoel, the American legionnaire of our team averaged 12.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Kennedy also twice came close to double-double in matches with the Israelis, but this time he failed to improve his record.

This season, DJ Kennedy has made double-doubles twice in winning matches against Italian Sassari. First in Italy (87:79; 17 points, 10 rebounds), then in Ukraine (89:56; 16 points, 11 rebounds).

The second double-double against the Italians became the 11th for Kennedy  in his career in the Champions League. With this figure, the American player leads the ranking of double-doubles in the Champions League in the history of the tournament.

We would like to remind that the next match of Prometey in the group tournament of the top 16 teams of the Champions League with the Romanian club Cluj-Napoca has been postponed from February 1 to March 3.
