Two strongest teams clashed in the final confrontation of the Latvian-Estonian basketball league Pafbet – “Kalev/Cramo” and “Prometey”. The final participants proved their superiority over the rest of the opponents both in the regular season and in the playoffs, and in today's head-to-head confrontation they had to determine the best team of the league in all regards.

The match started with a minute of silience. Players of "Prometey" and "Kalev" honoured the memory of people who died during the Russian missile attack on the Dnipro that happened in the morning of April 19.

In the debut of the match, it was very difficult to define which team has an advantage. The teams took turns in leading, but the end of the quarter worked for the Ukrainian club. The "titans" twice led by 6 points, and went for the first break with a +4 advantage after an accurate shot from the perimeter by Issuf Sanon.

In response, "Kalev/Cramo" organized a significant 15:2 (!) run at the beginning of the quarter N2. "Prometey" was not able to score for four and a half minutes, and the hosting team felt real courage. Their shooting accuracy from the field and from the perimeter in the first half of the game was at a high mark - "60+" percent, and they deserved to go for the long break with a status of the leader - 51:43.

“Prometey” started the second half of the game brisker and levelled the score just within two minutes – 51:51. The “titans” caught the hold of initiative and completely dominated on the floor. Ronen Gingburg’s squad won the third ten-minute segment more than convincingly – with a score of 23:9.

It was time for Estonian team to strengthen their game, and in the first five-minute segment, they began to cope with this task, reducing their lag to 2 points - 72:74. The intrigue in the confrontation increased to maximum. In the last 3 minutes to go, the teams had an equal score of 79:79, which lasted for one and a half minutes. Two shots from the perimeter by today's incredible Gian Clavell (26 points, 6 accurate three-pointers out of 12 attempts) were decisive in the clutch!

As a result, “Prometey” won with a score of 91:83 and gained the LEBL championship title for the second time!
