In the first match of 2022 against BC "SRT-SumDU" "Promeey-2-DDTU" continued their winning home series, which already has 5 matches in a row. However, today's victory turned out to be the most difficult of all. Our team started the match well, organizing a 7-0 jerk in 102 seconds. Bohdan Bryniuk easily beat Yevhen Brechko in opponent’s "paint", Mykhailo Bublyk hit from afar, and this productive series ended with a successful quick attack. SumDU coach Yaroslav Kovalev took a minute break, and not immediately, but this minute made changes to the game. Already at the beginning of the 6th minute the score became equal - 9:9, and on the 8th one Sumy team took the lead for the first time in the match - 13:11.
The first quarter was minimally won by our team, but in the second the initiative passed to "SumDU". Dmytro Markov's wards acted unsuccessfully in defense, missing a lot of balls after individual actions of the opponent. At the beginning of the last minute of the quarter, after an accurate shot by Ignatchenko, the guests' handicap rose to 12 points, but it became slightly smaller after hitting with a siren from the "paint" by Pavlo Horobchenko.
After a long break, the "red and whites" significantly added to the defensive action and in the course of third ten minutes twice reduced their gap to five points, but the end of the quarter was better for the guests, and the team determined the winner in the last ten minutes.
During the quarter, "Prometey-2-DDTU" was 12 points behind, but in the first five minutes made a breakthrough 8:0, which became the basis of a great comeback. At the end of the 38th minute, 4 consecutive points by Pavlo Horobchenko first reduced the team's gap to a minimum, and then brought it forward - 62:61. The next minute and a half came "dry", and the culmination of the match took place 28 seconds before the end, when Danyil Pyrohov hit from afar. In the last seconds, the "red and whites" worked well in defense and it was already a victory!
