In the first LEBL match Prometey might play against two Ukrainians at once

Ukrainian basketball player Illia Lischyna has debuted as part of Estonian Viimsi in the Estonian-Latvian basketball league match. He saw 12 minutes of the playing time in the match against Keila (72:90), distinguishing with 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 2 steals.

In summer, Lishchyna participated in the U18 National team of Ukraine games at the EuroBasket in Division B. Currently, Illia Lishchyna is on of two Ukrainians in Viimsi. Earlier, the club announced a signing of the National Ukrainian team’s player, Artem Kovaliov, who has not played for his new team yet. The assistant head coach of Viimsi is also Ukrainian Dmytro Kolomiichenko.

Prometey will play its first match of the new season exactly against Viimsi. On September 30, “titans” will oppose to Estonian club within the Latvian-Estonian league. Last year, Prometey thrashed Viimsi in both matches of the regular championship and won the play-off quarterfinal series 2-1.
