The first of four rounds of the Dnipro derby at the first stage of the Premier League championship with the participation of "Dnipro-2-DVUFK-SDYSSOR N5" and "Prometey-2-DDTU" fully met the expectations of fans who either directly watched the vicissitudes of the fight against the stands, or followed them online. The match contained both excellent team and individual actions of the players of both teams (Koldomasov, Batalsky, Klimov, Gorobchenko), a sufficient number of personal plots, for example, a fascinating confrontation under the backboards of central Serhiy Zagreb and Bohdan Bryniuk. The most important feature of the derby was the twisted plot with the outcome, which came with the final buzzer.
The hosts managed to snatch the victory, and after the end of each of the first three quarters the leadership remained with "Prometheus-2-DDTU". The victory of thr “red and whites” at the start based on their jerk 8:0 in the final minutes before the first break. It began with an individual pass by Ihor Klimov, continued with two effective actions of Bohdan Bryniuk (free middle throw and aggressive actions in a fierce confrontation with rivals under the hoop), and ended with the sputr by Vladislav Orzul after his excellent steal.
The second quarter was marked by a shootout of opponents from behind the arc (our Klimov, Orzul and Bublyk hit from afar), and our team went on a long break as a leader thanks to another excellent individual action of Ihor Klimov. After a fifteen-minute break, Dmitry Markov's team reached its biggest handicap in the match - 8 points, but in the third quarter the hosts reduced this gap to a minimum, and in the final it quickly became clear that the outcome of the match will be decided in the final part.
The winner was, after all, determined at the last second. Dnipro-2-DVUFK-SDYSSOR N5 had two and a half seconds left for the final attack and as a result Serhiy Zagreb, who managed to shoot from the middle distance, became the hero of the confrontation. The winner of the High League championship of the 2018/2019 season as a part of "Prometey" had a great clutch: his two rebounds on his sbackboard and two points, which were scored under ours, also contributed to the success of the team from Dnipro.
Prometey-DDTU will try to take revenge at noon on the last day of October, when the teams will return to the Shinnik Sports Complex.
