Forward Illia Kabatsiura (02.08.1996, 198 cm, 96 kg) became another newcomer of “Prometey”.

Illia achieved his main successes in 3x3 basketball, where he was awarded the title of international master of sports. In classical basketball, “Prometey” newcomer became a bronze medallist of the Ukrainian championship of the 2022/2023 season as a member of BIP, Odesa.

Last season, Illia, like another summer newcomer to the Titans, Serhii Startsev, played for “Prykarpattia-Hoverla” from Ivano-Frankivsk. In 30 league games for his club, the forward scored 13.4 points, puled 6.0 rebounds and gave 1.7 assists with a 14.4 efficiency rating.

In the Superleague quarterfinal playoff match between “Hoverla” and “Kyiv-Basket” with two overtimes, which became a real highlight of the 2023/2024 season and ended with a 99-95 victory for the Ivano-Frankivsk club, Illia Kabatsiura demostrated a great performance with 34 points (7 successful three-pointers out of 7 attempts!). The rookie of “Prometey” became only the 3rd Ukrainian player to reach the Top 15 scorers in a single playoff game in the entire history of the championships.

“Prometey” fans may remember Illia Kabatsiura by his performance in the National Cup matches of the “titans” against BC “Novmoskovsk” in the 2019/2020 season. Illia was the obvious leader of the team fron his hometown in Dnipro region. In both Cup matches he stood out with his productiveness (in one of the games he scored 34 points).
