New transfer in women's BC "Prometey"! After the early exit of our girls to the EuroCup Women playoffs, the coaching staff decided to strengthen the team. 31-year-old Ukrainian forward Kateryna Rymarenko became a new player. Volodymyr Dubynskyi, President of SC Prometey, shared the news about this:
"Forward of the national team of Ukraine Ekaterina Rymarenko, after several seasons of performances in the Championship of Poland, returns to Ukraine and will defend the colors of our BC Prometey.
After it became clear that we were leaving the group head the schedule, Kyrylo Bolshakov decided to strengthen the team in attack, expand the bench and invited Kateryna Rymarenko to join the team.
On December 2, Katerina will join the team, we hope she will regain the shape quickly and will get on well with partners, because the women's BC Prometey looks like a whole well-coordinated mechanism today.
Kateryna Rymarenko was born on April 3, 1990, her height is 185 centimeters. She will live and train in Slobozhansky together with many of our players.
Quite an unexpected decision of our coaching staff, as we have previously agreed that one of the leaders of the European women's national team will be invited to this position. But…
Kyrylo Vadymovich made such a decision, so he knows what he's doing, let's see. Personally, I am very glad that the Ukrainian players are returning home and Bolshakov manages to make them all together. It is very interesting to see how Katya will play in Prometey and whether it was right to take her to this position, and not a European player.
