The draw for the Women's Euroleague and the second most important Euroup - the EuroCup among women took place today in Germany. Like a year ago, "Prometey" will play in the group stage of the tournament, and one of its rivals will be the Hungarian "Uni Gyor", which is well known to him. Two more members of Group B will be determined after the qualifying matches of the Euroleague and Eurocup. Kirill Bolshakov, sports director of BC "Prometey" assessed the results of the draw:

"It is currently impossible to give a full comment on our future rivals in the Eurocup, as only one of them is known: the Hungarian Uni Gyor. There is no doubt in the qualification of this team, especially since we met with it a year ago.As for our two potential rivals, intuition, which, however, is not always worth relying on, tells me that they will be Turkish clubs.

In any case, the upcoming games will be a great school, especially for our Ukrainian youth. Prometey is facing the task of overcoming the group stage of the  EuroCup. If the group tournament is held in a two-round system, then we will need to win at least 3 matches out of 6. To solve this difficult task, our girls will have to work hard both in the matches themselves and in preparing for them".
