We are glad to inform “Prometey” fans that the team's back line has been strengthened by experienced player Kyrylo Marchenko (23.09.1997, 191 cm).
Most of his career, the newcomer to our team spent at “Khimik” Yuzhne. As a player of Yuzhne, Kyrylo Marchenko became the champion of Ukraine (2018/2019 season) and the winner of the National Cup (2019/2020). At the same time, 4 years ago, in the dramatic final against “Dnipro”, Kyrylo brought the trophy to “Khimik” with his magnificent three-point buzzer, which is still one of the best and most emotional moments in the history of Ukrainian basketball.
In 2019, Kyrylo Marchenko, along with former “Prometey” players Viacheslav Petrov and Illia Sydorov, won a historic silver medal at the Universiade as part of the Ukrainian national team led by Vitalii Stepanovskyi.
In December of the last year, after playing for Finnish “Bisons”, Latvian “Liepaja” and “Basco Balti” from Moldova, Kyrylo joined “Cherkaski Mavpy”. The guard helped his new club to sit in a high 4th place in the Favbet Superleague. In 19 league games, he scored 12.9 points + 4.1 rebounds + 1.4 assists, with a player efficiency rating of 12.9.
We welcome Kyrylo in the “Prometey” family!
