“Cedevita-Olimpija” and “London Lions” capped the Round 17 in the BKT EuroCup Group A. The club from Great Britain, with a score of 92:85 gathered a victory in the capital of Slovenia.

On the first game day of the round, in addition to the confrontation “Venice” – “Prometey”, another three matches were played: “Besiktas” – “Paris Basketball” (72:95), ”Wolves Vilnius” – “Hamburg” (94:84) and “Joventut Badalona” – “Hapoel Tel Aviv” (85:91).

Before the last round of the regular season, the leader of Group A “Paris Basketball” with a brilliant record of 16-1 is four wins ahead of “Hapoel Tel Aviv” and “London Lions”.

“Joventut Badalona” is in fourth position (10-7). “Besiktas” and our “Prometey” have one win less.

Considering situation in the group, Ukrainian club has real chance to sit in 4th place in the group, which can allow to play the match of the playoff Round 1 at the home arena. If three teams at once (“Joventut Badalona”, “Besiktas” and “Prometey”) finish the group stage with 10 wins, the “titans”, in order to surpass their competitors, will have to defeat “Joventut” in the last round with the 7-point difference. If “Besiktas” in its last match lose to “Hapoel Tel Aviv”, the win “+4” over “Joventut” will secure 4th place for Ukrainian club.

On the other hand, the loss of “Prometey”, regardless the result of the match with “Besiktas” participation leaves the “titans” in 6th place.
