32-year-old Uktainian center Maksym Sandul (20.02.1991, 206 cm, 112 kg) became a rookie of BC “Prometey” (High league of the Ukrainian championship).

Maksym was born in Vinnytsia but in fact, he cut his teeth in Kyiv basketball. From 2009 to 2015, he played for BC “Kyiv” after which he played in Spain for “Manresa” and in Poland for “Twarde Pierniki”. In 2017, he signed a contract with “Budivelnyk” Kyiv after which he also played in Ukraine for the capital’s “Kyiv-Basket” and BC “Zaporizhzhia”. Then he spent two seasons in BC “Ternopil” and in 2022 came back to “Budivelnyk”, together with which he became the champion of the Superleague in 2022/23.

In the same season, Sandul was named the best center of the Ukrainian championship.In 32 matches he averaged 11.3 points and 11.0 rebounds. He has started the 2023/24 season as part of “Budivelnyk”, however, the club from Kyiv was expelled from the list of the Superleague Favbet participants. In 13 matches of the Ukrainian Superleague season, Ukrainian center averaged 10.5 points and 10.3 rebounds.
