Ukrainian basketball club Prometey, which plays its home games in Riga due to the russia’s war in Ukraine, kindly invites you to attend an open practice.

The practice will take place on September 28 at 11:00 at the Olympic centre Rimi (Riga).

Basketball club Prometey starts its second season in Riga.

On September 30, the first match of Prometey in the Latvian-Estonian league of the 2023-2024 season will be held at Arena Riga at 16:00. The current champion, Prometey, will play against its former quarterfinal opponent, BC Viimsi.

And later, on October 4, at 19:00 at Arena Riga, Prometey starts its second EuroCup season. Our team will oppose the last year’s opponent in the EuroCup 1/8 finals, BC Hamburg.

As a reminder, in its first EuroCup season, our club became a winner of Group A, having 11 straight wins! On top of it, in the playoffs, Prometey reached the semi-final, where, in the last seconds of the spectacular confrontation at Arena Riga, it lost to Turk Telekom.

Prometey starts the second season as current champion of the Latvian-Estonian league.

Compared to the previous season, our team has been significantly updated. For instance, the current NBA champion Davon Reed, the second scorer of the last year’s French championship Ronald March and other well-known players have joined Prometey’s roster. You will have an opportunity to communicate with all of them during the open practice.

Prometey is compelled to hold its second EuroCup season 1500 km away from home due to the russia’s aggression in Ukraine. The capital of Latvia turned out to be a second home for Ukrainian team. But despite such difficult trials, Prometey stormed into the EuroCup semi-final from the first place in the group! For the new season, the team has not less ambitious plans, which coaches and players will tell about the media representatives during the open workout.
