National team of Ukraine has held its first practice under the heading of the new head coach Vitalii Stepanovskyi and his coaching staff. Ukrainian team started preparation for the Olympic pre-qualification tournament, which will start on August 12 in Istanbul. Within the first round of the pre-Olympic qualification, the teams of Turkey, Bulgaria and Iceland became the opponents of Ukrainian National team. Before that, Ukrainian team will play four friendly matches. The first of them will take place in fortnight, on July 29, in Panevezys, against the National team of Lithuania.

As a reminder, there are three “Prometey” players in the roster of the National team – Oleksandr Lypovyy, Andrii Voinalovych and Viacheslav Petrov.
