The National basketball team of Ukraine obtained the third consecutive victory at EuroBasket 2022. This time over the hosts and one of the favourites of our group.

Ukraine - Italy 84:73

As a reminder, there are nine EuroBasket debutants in the Ukrainian National team, among them there are three young “Prometey” basketball players, who are the real engine of this national team. Illia Sydorov brought the team 10 points, coming out for 6 minutes in the debut game, navigating the context like lightning, won the second match for Ukraine and gave energy in the third one. Ivan Tkachenko, who made his debut in the National team only this year, gives the team energy, composure and confidence; in particular, he made a very important three-pointer at the right moment in the fourth quarter of the match against the Estonians; scored 17 points into the basket of the Italian National team (!) with aspac percentage of 87.5 from the game. In addition, in a pair with Mykhailiuk presented one of the brightest highlights of EuroBasket. Issuf Sanon also scored 17 points against the Italians in just 14 minutes on the court.

On September 6, at 18:00, Ainars Bagatskis' team will play against the Greek national team. This will be a match between the leaders of Group C.
