In exactly one month, the National team of Ukraine, which currently includes four representatives of Prometey, Denys Lukashov, Illia Sydorov, Issuf Sanon, and Ivan Tkachenko, will start at EuroBasket 2022. A month before the tournament, the FIBA website published the ranking of the national teams of the European Championship.

Our National team is in 19th place among 24 teams.

In the future, depending on the results of control games and selection matches for the 2023 World Cup, the rating will be adjusted.

"Ukraine will be a team that cannot be taken lightly by the opponents in Group C in Milan. Recently, they have frightened Spain during the qualification match for the World Cup, and Ukrainians also reached the 1/8 finals at the previous EuroBasket in 2017, where they lost to the future champions of Slovenia," the authors of the rating write.

The opponents of the Ukrainian team - Estonia and Great Britain - are ranked below the blue-yellow team, so according to FIBA forecasts, the Ukrainian National team should proceed to the playoffs.

Rating of the teams of group C:

3 – Greece

8 – Italy

11 – Croatia

19 – Ukraine

20 – Great Britain

23 – Estonia

It should also be noted that the Czech National team, led by the head coach of "Prometey" Ronen Ginzburg, is in 10th place. Czechs are second in the ranking in their group, only Serbs, who occupy the 4th place, are higher. The rest of the opponents - the Netherlands, Finland, Poland and Israel - are below the Czech Republic.
