On the eve of the start of the 31st championship of Ukraine "Prometey" signed three newcomers at once. The Ukrainian roster of the team was replenished by the elite domestic sniper Oleksandr Mishula. Immediately after signing the contract with Prometey, Sasha answered several questions from the club's press service.

- Alexander, welcome to Prometey! You found a new club just before the start of the championship, not during pre-season training. Were there any objective reasons for this?

- Exactly. I had a shoulder injury, I had surgery, then underwent recovery, almost recovered, and here came such an interesting offer from "Prometey", which I accepted. Prometey is a great club that plays, I can say, in my hometown. Everything is very cool here and I really like it here!

- You said: "almost recovered". Can't you train in full?

- Not yet. That's why I say "almost". I am engaged in my physical training, I work with a rehabilitation specialist almost every day. I need to wait a little longer when I am able to play in 5x5 format.

- It should be understood that all the Ukrainian guys of "Prometey" are very familiar to you, especially in the national team?

- Yes, of course, I know everyone personally, I communicate with them a lot.

- How do you like the last games of "Prometey" in the qualification of the Champions League and Super Cup?

- My wife and I watched all the team's matches (smiles). I really liked the games. The team is very good, cohesive, aggressive on the court and well guarded. Prometey looks like a very powerful team!

- Since reaching the group stage of the Champions League, the team will play a lot of matches in various tournaments. Probably, you will not feel a lack of game practice?

- Let's see. I just need to show everything I can. It is no secret that Prometey has a high level competition. To have enough playing time, you need to earn this right. I will do my best!

- Your career, apparently, can be divided into two stages: "Dnipro" and everything that happened after it. What was your departure to Turkey connected with? Wishing to change the situation?

- For a long time I had the idea to try myself in one of the foreign championships, because we experienced different times in Ukraine: you can remember the years when the championship was very competitive, and then it became weaker. I wanted to try myself in a completely new environment. As a  result an option with a Turkish club came out. We tried to reach the Turkish top division, but due to the coronavirus pandemic it did not work out. However, I liked the experience itself. I proved to myself that I know something more on the background of players from other countries.

- So can this Turkish experience be called positive in general?

- One hundred percent!

- After Turkey, you returned to Ukraine, signing a contract with Kyiv-Basket. This caused some jealousy on the part of Dnipro fans, although you did not move to the capital club from your hometown. What was you attitude to such a reaction?

- At first it was, of course, unpleasant. But I understand that anyone can have their own opinion. I shouldn’t react to every thought, listen to it. It was also a certain experience at some psychological moment. For example, people’s criticism must be treated calmly. In terms of games, the season at Kyiv-Basket also became a good experience, although it did not turn out to be as effective as possible.

- Did you want to win a trophy with the team?

- Of course, there were such goals! But again due to the shoulder injury I got into an unpleasant situation. However, I can repeat: the season in "Kyiv-Basket" was a good experience. I will work and be even stronger! That's one hundred percent!

- Based on the tournament grid of the playoffs last season, "Kyiv-Basket" was seen as a finalist of the championship. What didn't work out for the team in the semifinal with Zaporizhzhia?

- Maybe somewhere there was not enough strength. In "Zaporizhzhya" there was a huge desire to reach the final, the guys somehow united as a whole, played very well on their desire. It seems to me that we should have won in the fourth match, but basketball is such a game that some were lucky and some were not. It's a pity, of course, but it turned out as it is.

- Alexander, we wish you that everything planned will come true in our "Prometey"! And for a start, of course, full recovery and full membership in the new team!
