Today, the young players of BC “Prometey” played the final match of the European Youth Basketball League (EYBL) tour. As a reminder, Oleksandr Pashchenko's team won all five matches. After the last tour game, the press service of "Prometey" spoke with the coach about the played and upcoming matches of his team.

"Today, the players of Swedish team put up a decent resistance to us, the score difference does not reflect this, however, this team has really good players, they work carefully on the selection of players for the basketball sections, so their teams really have those who can and want to play."

“Unfortunately, at the last moment, two other Swedish teams announced that they would not come to this tour. Matches with them would be a good experience for us. As a result, instead of playing against them, we played again with the same teams as in December. However, we have three more friendly games in Riga next week. On Tuesday, we face the second team of “VEF Riga”, on Thursday we play against the boys from the University of Latvia, who have won two tours of the EYBL and who we played in December, and on Friday, we play against "Ogre", which plays in the Latvian-Estonian league.

I am grateful to the management of "Prometey" for the opportunity to play such important matches for us. Currently, any games are important and valuable for us; we need them like air. During the tour, all players had some playing minutes; the boys really missed basketball and played with pleasure. I would also like to thank the club for creating all the conditions for us to be able to train, without interrupting the training process - even during power outages, we always have electricity in the gym, which is very necessary and valuable for the players."
