The center of “Prometey” Ondrej Balvin has signed a new contract with BC “Prometey”. This news was announced by the founder of BC “Prometey” Volodymyr Dubynskyi on his Facebook page:

The center of Czech National team, our giant Ondrej Balvin, will continue cooperation with BC “Prometey”. Ondrej’s first words after the signing were that he would put maximum efforts for the victory in the EuroCup 2023/2024 season.

I am sure, he is able, like in the last season, to help our club to get such a desired by all Ukrainian fans victory in the EuroCup.

Ondrej had an excellent season, which I am very grateful for to both him and the coach Neno, for achieving such a result. Chosing a club, Ondrej did not hesitate for a long time, although he got very interesting offers from the Euroleague teams, but Ondrej remained loyal to “Ptometey”, which I am also grateful for.

I would also like to thank our agents, coach, sports director, our director for an excellent work, for such a signing.

This is the first legionnaire who we have signed for the next season. We already have the valid contracts with Illia Sydorov, Oleksandr Lypovyy, Ivan Tkachenko. We are still working with other players, but the work is boiling. We will infirm you about everything. Once again I thank Ondrej for his trust and look forward to a new season and new wins for BC “Prometey”.

As a reminder, Ondrej became a player of BC “Prometey” prior the start of the 2022/2023 season. The second half of the season was especially successful for Czech legionnaire. Ondrej Balvin is the most productive player of BC “Prometey” in the LEBL (on average 12.9 points per match). In 21 EuroCup matches Ondrej made on average 6.7 rebounds.
