“Prometey” opened the Final Eight of the Ukrainian championship among teams of the High league with a quarterfinal confrontation with “DiDiBao” Kamianets-Podilskyi. Just two weeks ago, the teams played against each other within the third tour of the regular tournament. That time, the “titans” defeated their rival with a margin of 80 (!) points.
Today, Oleksandr Pashchenko’s squad also had no problems and won with even higher differential – 130:40! Already at the equator of the second quarter, their handicap reached three dozen points. The “red-and-white” mostly hit from the three-second zone but at the same time, they had great offensives from the perimeter (35 percent of accurate long-range shots in the first half of the game).
In the quarter N3, “Prometey” added “+31” to their advantage and long before the final buzzer, could start preparing to tomorrow’s semi-final confrontation. “Kharkivski Sokoly”, who were stronger in a competitive confrontation with the Sumy Region team (78:69), are our tomorrow’s rivals. The match starts at 17:00.
