
Today, on November 24, the first stage of the 3x3 basketball Ukrainian championship among men’s teams was held in Cherkasy at PS “Budivelnyk”.
Our “Prometey” also was among the 14 participants of this stage. In the morning, our “titans” (Daniil Pyrohov, Dmytro Trykolenko, Anton Sturov and Vladyslav Melnyk) played the group stage matches. At the beginning, our team lost to Push Team-NUFVSU (14:17) and then gained two wins – over Push-DCU (22:3) and “Poltava” (15:7).
At the first playoff stage, “Prometey” played against “Budivelnyk”, which had Superleague players Lev Koshevatskyi and Vladyslav Lukinskyi in its roster. In a tens fighting, the team from Kyiv turned out t be a bit stronger – 21:18. At the end of the match, the “titans”, losing by 7 points, considerably reduced their lad but still did not manage to get the ticket to the final.
As it became clear a little bit later, “Prometey” lost to the future winner of the first stage. In the final, “Budivelnyk” defeated another capital’s club – “Kyiv-Basket” (21-17).
As for “Prometey”, in the match for the third place, our team confidently defeated “Kryvbas” (21:10). Afyter the competitions finished, “Prometey” players were given medals for the third place and a prize certificate for 7000 hryvnias.
Vladyslav Melnyk, Anton Sturov and Daniil Pyrohov got into top-10 best shooters of this stage. Vlad scored 27 points (6th place), Anton – 22 points (7th place), Daniil – 21 points (10th place). Dmytro Trykolenko scored 19 poits and sat 13th place.
