Tomorrow, on April 8, the 2022/2023 season of the Latvian-Estonian league Pafbet will finish with two matches. First, Estonian clubs “Kalev/Cramo” and “Tartu Ulikool” will play for the third place; and at 17:00 in the decisive match, our “Prometey” and “VEF Riga” from Latvia will oppose each other. So the best team of the regular season and the last year’s LEBL champion will fight for the title of the league winner.

Tomorrow’s “Prometey” opponent sat the 3rd place at the first stage of the current championship, 5 wins behind Ukrainian club. In the quarterfinal series, “VEF Riga”, with a score of 2:0, defeated Estonian “AVIS UTILITAS Rapla”, and today, unexpectedly confidently, they surpassed “Kalev/Cramo”. The first half of the game finished with a minimal advantage of “VEF Riga” (33:34), after which Latvian club totally dominated on the court – 83:65.

Tomorrow, worthy of each other opponents will fight in the decisive confrontation. “Prometey” may become the fourth winner of the LEBL after “Ventspils”, “Kalev/Cramo” and “VEF Riga”.
