“Prometey” capped the home bubble of the Ukrainian championship among the High league teams with the match against “Niko-Basket” Mykolayiv. Our team has extended its winning streak to 19 matches beating the opponent with a score of 92:61. However, they had to work hard to achieve this success.
It was hard to the “titans” to enter the game. They lost the first five-minure segment (4:8) but then, thanks to the mighty 10:0 jerk, managed to win the starting quarter with an advantage by one possession (16:13). However, they lost initiative again in the debut of the second quarter. In the 14th minute, after another accurate shot by Mykolayiv team from the perimeter, (4 successful attempts of 10 during one and a half quarter) “Prometey” was inferior by 6 points (19:25). At that moment, Oleksandr Pashchenko’s team made another spurt (11:1), which helped them to go for the long break in a status of the leader – 37:33. At that, Denys Klevzunyk recorded in his asset 16 points at once within the first 20 minutes.
All winning accents, “Prometey” placed in the third ten-minute segment. Our team won it in all regards. Back before the last break, the handicap of the “titans” reached two dozen points. In the final quarter, Oleksandr Pashchenko’s squad drove the game to the winning result.
