“Prometey” and “Kharkivski Sokoly” determined the second finalist of the national championship among the High league teams. “Sambir”, which surpassed “Niko-Basket” with a score of 89:75, gained the first berth to the final.
The “titans” were obvious favourites of the confrontation and confidently proved their status. Oleksandr Pashchenko’s squad laid the basis for their win yet in the starting quarter, at the end of which their handicap was almost two dozen points – 25:7. Some game segments worked for the rival, however he failed to impose a competitive fight on "Prometey", as well as in the previous three matches between the teams in the regular season.
The coaches of both teams made a bet on tomorrow's final game day of the Final Eight long before the final buzzer. So, for example, none of the 12 players in the roster of “Prometey” played even 20 minutes. As a result, "Prometey" celebrated success with a score of 101:42.
The decisive match for the championship title "Prometey" - "Sambir" will start tomorrow at 15:00.
