For the second day in a row, the "Prometey” club team played in the final match of the tournament. For Oleksandr Pashchenko's team, yesterday's victory of the main team in the Latvian-Estonian league became a great banchmark before the decisive Higher League confrontation of the season. Just like in the LEBL tournament, BC "Sambir", a team from the league’s Top-2, was competing for the championship title in the second-ranked national division with "Prometey".

However, unlike yesterday's confrontation, "Prometey" was a big favourite in the decisive match, but this status had to be proved on the floor of the Palace of Sports "Veneto" in Kyiv. Our team faced an opponent with dynamic players in the back line and highly experienced ones in the front line, but they coped brilliantly with their task, defeating the opponent with a score of 106:40.

At the same time, the "titans" had a difficult start to the match, trailing 2:7 in the 4th minute. Their first lead (12:10) was recorded only in the 7th minute after a three-pointer by Mykhailo Bublyk. In the opening quarter, "Prometey" was inferior to the opponent in all shooting categories, but had a significant advantage in the fight on the boards and the ball movement, which gave it with a minimal advantage in the first 10-minute segment - 21:20.

In the second quarter, our team significantly strengthened its defensive play and at the same time improved its long-range shooting percentage. In the 17th minute, it was after such a hit by their captain Dmytro Holovchyk that handicap of “Prometey” reached the "10+" mark for the first time in the match.

Finally, the "titans" laid the winning foundation in the N3 quarter, which they won with a crushing score of 37:3 (!). The final ten minutes, by and large, turned into a formality.

For the second time in its history (the first time was in its debut season of 2018/2019), our team has won the High League championship! At the same time, it won in all regards, winning all matches in both the regular season and the playoffs! Any team can only repeat such a result, but not surpass it.
