Tomorrow, on January 20, Olympic centre Rimi in Riga, “Prometey” is paying its another match within the Latvian-Estonian league Pafbet. At the same time, our team will play against the Estonian club “TalTech/OPTIBET” for the first time this season.

The opponent of “Prometey” represents the Tallinn University of Technology. The team has been existing since 1951 and during the Soviet times, it became the best one in its republic 8 times. After Estonia regained its independence in August 1991, “Tal/Tech” won the title of the country's best team four times (in 1995, 1998, 2002 and 2003). The club's track record also includes winning the Estonian Cup in 2004.

"TalTech/OPTIBET" started the championship strongly, gaining 6 wins in the first 7 matches. However, later the team from the capital of Estonia noticeably slowed down: in their last 8 matches, they suffered 6 defeats.

Instead, “Prometey” with a current 16-2 balance is in the second position in the tournament race. In tomorrow’s match the team will try not the let the championship leader “Kalev/Cramo” (19-1) go ahead.
