Today, on July 7, the EuroCup draw have been held for 20 teams that will participate in in in the new season. At the first stage, they will be divided into two groups of 10 teams each. All group round participants will play in a two-round tournament.

For the second season in a row, our “Prometey” will defend the honour of Ukraine in the EuroCup. As a reminder, “red and white” advanced to the four best teams of the second ranked European club tournament on the first attempt. Before today’s draw, “Prometey” got into 9th basket, so it was known beforehand that it will not play against another club from this basket – “Slask Wroclaw” from Poland. As a result, the following clubs became “Prometey” rivals in Group A:
“Hapoel Tel Aviv” (Israel), “Joventut” (Spain), “Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana” (Slovenia), “Paris Basketball” (France), “Umana Reyer Venice” (Italy), “Wolves Vilnius” (Lithuania), “Besiktas Istanbul” (Turkey), “Veolia Towers Hamburg” (Germany), “London Lions” (Great Britain).

This season, 6 best teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. Herewith, 1-2 places with fight for the trophy from the 1/4 finals, other teams – only from the 1/8 finals.
