Basketball club "Prometey" will participate in the championship of Ukraine in the 2022/23 season. The president of SC "Prometey" Volodymyr Dubynsky announced the news on his Facebook page:

"Friends, I keep you up-to-date. Today we held an important meeting with representatives of the clubs of the basketball federation of Ukraine regarding the upcoming championship, which is scheduled to start in early October 2022.

As the president of the club, I confirmed the participation of "Prometey" in the competition.

Budivelnyk, Kyiv-Basket, Zaporizhzhia and Cherkasski Mavpy have also already confirmed their participation in the championship. Other participants took a regulated break until September 1.

In addition, we decided to support the Kharkiv "Sokoly" as well. Due to the constant rashist bombings, the boys have nowhere else to train. We offered them the Prometey site and are ready to support our Kharkiv colleagues.

One of the main issues was the safety of the Championship, the system of games and the venue.

We are hundred percent sure, that  competition, unfortunately, will be held without spectators, but negotiations regarding media support and the organization of broadcasts are already underway, so Ukrainian fans will be able to watch the games online on free platforms.

So, basketball will persist, Victory to Ukraine!
