Today, on July 8, the draw for the EuroCup was held in Barcelona, Spain, for the 20 teams that will participate in the new season. At the first stage, they will be divided into two groups of 10 teams each. All participants of the group round will play in a two-tours tournament.

Our "Prometey" will take part in the EuroCup for the first time. Our team was placed in the 10th basket before the draw, and therefore it was known in advance that we would not play in the group tournament with another club from this basket - "London Lions" from Great Britain. As a result, Prometey's rivals in Group A are following clubs: "Hoventut" (Spain), "Cedevita-Olympia" (Slovenia), "Reyer Venezia" (Italy), "Bursaspor" (Turkey), "Litkabelis" (Lithuania), "Bourg" (France), "Ratiofarm Ulm" (Germany), "Brescia" (Italy), "Cluj-Napoca" (Romania).

The top 8 teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs. All parts of the second stage of the competition, starting with the 1/8 finals, will consist of one match.
