Basketball club “Prometey” has arranged a basketball practice for Ukrainian kids in Riga. Within the Euroleague social programme One Team, “Prometey” support Ukrainian children forced to leave Ukraine for Latvia due to the war.
33 children from all across Ukraine attended the training session, mostly from the East and South. The workout was held by BC “Prometey” coaches Serhii Alferov and Raimonds Feldmanis; famous Latvian basketball player Anda Ebele, who as part of the National Latvian team took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing, was helping them.
One hour of the practice came to the end very quickly as coaches came up with incredibly interesting exercises, which the children did with a great passion and excitement, and communication was warm and friendly.
This was the first of 8 free basketball practices for Ukrainian settlers’ children.
