On September 5, “Prometey” (the High league of Ukrainian championship) is beginning a game programme of the current off-season. Oleksandr Pashchenko’s team, after a month-preparation for the season in Slobozhanske, will play a road confrontation against BC “Zaporizhzhia”.

Exactly in confrontation with “Zaporizhzhia” two years ago, the destiny of domestic Superleague main title was decided on the path of our”Prometey”. Back in the 2020/2021 season, the club from Zaporizhzhia was managed by Valerii Plekhanov. Last off-season, one of the best Ukrainian coaches, after working in "Kharkiv Sokoly" and "Budivelnyk" Kyiv, came back to Zaporizhzhia.

A few days ago, basketball players of BC “Zaporizhzhia” started practising at their home PS “Yunist”, which they informed about through the club’s networks. Even earlier, the club signed the experienced Dmytro Lypovtsev, Andrii Khohonik and Vladyslav Ungurian, whom “Prometey” fans can remember for our club's debut season in the Superleague.

For Oleksandr Pashchenko’s squad, tomorrow’s sparring will be very useful since they will oppose the Superleague representative. On September 19, the teams will play again, but at the “Prometey” floor.

As a reminder, between two matches against “Zaporizhzhia”, “Prometey” will play twice against MBC “Mykolaiv” and BC “Odesa”.
