Tomorrow, on October 13, the season in the men’s High league will begin. The first tour matches of the regular championship will be held in bubbles on the court of the sports base “Sokil” in Pushcha-Vodytsia and on the court of SC “Slobozhanske” in Slobozhanske.

Prometey will host the bubble in Slobozhanske.

On October 13, “titans” will play their opener against Push-CDU (Kropyvnytskyi). On October 14, the capital’s club Self-Made will be their rival (the match starts at 12:00) and on the final bubble day, where 6 teams will play, Prometey will oppose to Kharkivski Sokoly (the match starts at 15:00).

The first Prometey’s rival, the team from Kropyvnytskyi, is created on the base of the last years’ AYBL champions among of born in 2007, including the player of the cadet National team of Ukraine, the MVP of the last season AYBL Roman Poteiev. The main target is to gain experience for the young players, however, it will be exciting to watch them at this level.

The second Oleksandr Pashchenko’s team’s rival is the capital’s Self-Made, lost Eugene Zhulavskyi, who practised with Budivelnyk but changed it to Prykarpattia-Hoverla. Instead, the team reinforced with experienced Danyl Ovcharenko and Vadym Dovidnyi. In addition, Ivan Chmyrenko, Oleksandr Petrov and Danylo Kazantsev, who are already in the application for the season, remained in the team’s roster.

Kharkivski Sokoly, the third Prometey’s rival is back to Ukrainian basketball. Rafail Khrysostomidi and Dmytro Sorochan, who played last year in Superleague, will play for this club. Serafim Novikov, the player of the Junior National team of Ukraine, who spent previous season in Italy, also came back to Ukraine.

Sokoly played three matches at the tournament in Kropyvnytskyi, gaining two wins. Bothe times, Oleksii Zolotous’s squad celebrated victory against Push-CDPU and one time, they minimally lost to Khmelnytskyi.

As a reminder, in the 2023/24 season 12 teams will participate in the High league. Based on the results of the regular season, 8 best teams will be named. Exactly these clubs will enter the Final 8 of the High league. The decisive stage of the tournament will underway within three days (1/4 finals, 1/2 finals and the final) at the end of April. All playoffs series will consist of one match.
