"Prometey" played their second control match against the representative of the Lithuanian Superleague (LKL) BC "Juventus" from the city of Utena. This confrontation for the "red and whites" turned out to be much more intense than with "Latvian University". Probably, the coaching staff of our team had more than enough material for analysing the match. The opponent turned out to be stronger than the Latvian club, in addition, in "Prometey" game itself bad periods were mixed with excellent ones.

For a long time, our team again played with two brightly pronounced fives, in the second of which Dustin Hogue appeared on the court (his partners were Pavlov, Sizov and the Latvians Staniulis and Kukliks). In the final quarter, Dustin (10 points in the match) also played together with the players of the starting five, replacing Viacheslav Petrov in it. It happened at a time when the result of the match had not been decided yet.

The beginning of the match was ineffective: in 5 minutes, the two teams scored only 12 points. At the same time, "Prometey" with the main line-up gained a slight advantage of 4 points. This handicap was increased by two more points by the second five before the first break. At the start of the second ten-minute period, in two and a half minutes, our team allowed a significant break away of the opponent by 0:10. At this moment, Viacheslav Petrov played excellently in the attack. He scored 5 points in a row. Soon, after Kennedy's individual pass, the score became equal, and a tough play under the opponent’s backboard by DJ Stephens allowed "Prometey" to regain the lead.

The "red-whites" went to the second break with "+6". The third quarter started with an impressive 14:0 jerk by our team. It seemed that the rewsult of the match was decided, but in the course of the quarter "Prometheus" allowed opponents to get closer to a distance of 4 points.

In the debut of the final ten minutes, the teams were separated by only one point. And yet, "red and white" realised their high potential at the right moment. Tough play on both backs, a great transit attack and individual class of players formed the basis of a decisive 12-0 jerk.

"Prometey" obtained their second victory at the Latvian gathering, and already on Sunday they will oppose another Lithuanian team - "Pieno Zvaigzdes".
