Today, on 10 May, Kyiv hosted the final stage of the Ukrainian 3x3 basketball championship of the 2023/24 season among men's teams. Our Prometey (Ihor Klimov, Vladyslav Melnyk, Daniil Pyrohov and Dmytro Lykhoi) was among the 11 participants of the decisive round.
The draw for the group round sent our team to Group C along with PUSH TEAM - DTEU Kyiv, BC Kryvbas and Poltava. The first three teams of the group stage got a ticket to the playoffs.
In the opener of the round, the “titans” lost to PUSH TEAM - DTEK 15:22. Then Prometey gained two consecutive victories: over Kryvbas (21:14) and Poltava (18:16), which allowed them to take 2nd place in Group 2.
In the quarter-finals, our team took on the second Group B team, Self Made Basket from Kyiv. Before the start of the tournament, the club from Kyiv strengthened its squad with one of the strongest players in the Classic Basketball Super League, Oleksiy Solovyov from BC Rivne. With the help of Oleksiy, Self Made Basket defeated Prometey with a score of 21:13 and advanced to the semi-finals.
For the “titans”, the match against the club from the capital of Ukraine was the last one at the final stage of the 3x3 championship.
